The North Bay and District Humane Society's Board of Directors is formed by a group of 10 local volunteers who care about animal health and welfare issues in your community. The board works as a team in conjunction with the Humane Society staff and the community to carry out the Society's Mission Statement, as follows...

"To provide a safe and healthy haven for all animals that come into our care; to provide effective animal control in accordance with our contract with the municipality; to ensure the humane treatment of all animals in our jurisdiction; and to eliminate the need for euthanasia as a method of pet population control."
