At the Humane Society, we have the opportunity to meet a variety of animals. Each animal has a unique story- of which we usually do not know their past, but are able to help build their present and future.
Many of the animals come to us with some kind of ailment (fleas, ear mites, or other parasites), and are often dirty, worn out, and frightened from living on their own. But our wonderful team of dedicated animal-lovers bathes, feeds, houses, and spends quality time with these animals in order to help them on their way to becoming great family pets. Unfortunately, we do not always have the opportunity to hear about their lives beyond the shelter. As they embark on a new life-long journey with their forever family, we need to say goodbye and send them on their way.
Therefore, we would like to invite you- the adoption family- to tell us your portion of their story! What happened on their first night home? How did they react to new sights and smells? Did your previous "Fido" get along with your new "Fluffy"? How do they spend most of their time? And what cute or annoying habits do they have?
Each of your "tails" will be read by our staff, so that we can learn about how the animal is now enjoying home life. We will then select a story to be shared on our site each month, under "Success Stories" in the Adoption heading. **Human names will be excluded to protect your privacy.
If you would like to share your "tail", please email your story to kpedersen893@gmail.com, or bring a written copy into the shelter. Pictures are more than welcome!
We look forward to catching up with our furry friends.
