Save an animal’s life today

Giving an animal a second chance at a better life is as easy as making a donation today. Support the North Bay and District Humane Society’s mission to shelter, feed and provide veterinary care for the more than 1,600 dogs, cats and other animals that pass through our doors each year. Don’t delay — give them a better tomorrow by acting today.

Where does my donation go?

Your donation stays within our locality, helping to care for animals in our own backyard. Caring for companion animals means providing basic veterinary care and treatment to improve quality of life and overall health for that animal, including things like vaccines, heartworm and flea treatments and medicines. Funds donated to the North Bay Humane Society also help to shelter, feed and enrich the animals in our care.

Can I earmark where funds go?

Yes, you can let us know where you want your donation to have the greatest impact, including:

  • Generalized care
  • Specialized care and rehabilitation
  • Spay and neuter services
  • Pet Valu Animal Rescue Express and Transportation programs
  • Foster care

Will I get a tax receipt for my donation?

Yes, donations over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt.

How will I be recognized for my donation?

The North Bay Humane Society is working on its first in-house public Donor Recognition Wall to thank all of the special individuals and businesses who so generously give to the animal welfare work we do in the community.

What can I donate?

You can donate both monetary and in-kind gifts, as well as securities and endowments. If you are interested in making a gift through Planned Giving, please write to giving@northbayhumanesociety.ca – we would love to hear how we can build a better Humane Society through your legacy gift.

Questions or Concerns?

We want to make the process of donating to the North Bay Humane Society as effortless as possible. If you have any comments, questions or suggestions regarding our donation process, we’d love to hear it – simply write to giving@northbayhumanesociety.ca.
