Animal Control Services

Animals in need are at the forefront of the work involved at the North Bay and District Humane Society. We are contracted by the City of North Bay, the Municipality of West Nipissing and the Municipality of East Ferris to provide animal control and after-hours emergency services. Emergency services are comprised of injured dogs and cats that are at large where an owner cannot be found. If you encounter an injured dog or cat where an owner cannot be found, please contact us by calling 705-474-1251. City of North Bay

Animal Control Services

  • To pick up stray cats and dogs Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm) and Saturday (10am to 2pm)

  • To pick up injured dogs and cats 24 hours per day, 7 days per week where an owner cannot be found

  • To pick up stray cats and dogs Monday to Friday (5pm to 9pm) exclusive of statutory holidays (only if the animal is confined)

Township of Bonfield

Animal Control Services

  • Monday to Friday (exclusive of statutory holidays) an officer will be available, and as dictated by priority, to the Township area from 9:00am to 5:00pm to respond to complaints of animals at large, stray animals, and By-law infractions only if the animal is humanely confined, either by being in a building, crate, cage, box, or tethered safely
